

The downside of this choice is that sometimes placement can be tricky, and there are as many opportunities to "mess up" as there are to do things properly. The benefits of using two of the 5's would be the ability to change the relationship of the mics, thereby widening the stereo X/Y soundfield, or extending your stereo capabilities to other than X/Y methods. I have had excellent results from both the 4 and the 5's.


The capsules are said to be the same, as far as I know.
